Rare Austrian Julius Dressler Ceramic Vase

Rare Austrian Julius Dressler Ceramic Vase

$365.00Price

Great Condition, no chips, slight wear of paint on top.  The Austrian Jugendstil movement, also known as the Viennese Secession, was a significant artistic and architectural style in Germany and Austria during the late 19th and early 20th centuries (1882-1945).  One notable artist associated with this movement is Julius Dressler, a renowned ceramicist.  This stunning vase is a prime example of Austrian Jugendstil artistry, featuring the work of Julius Dressler.  His ceramic pottery pieces are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.  This piece features intricate designs and is likely from the late 19th to early 20th century.  The mark of Julius Dressler appears as an impressed tower on a bed of rock with the letters 'JDB' below.  Presumably the 'B' is for Biela.  Some pieces are also marked 'Austria' and others carry only the Austria mark. Most also have a four-digit pattern number which, in the case of this piece, is 4212.

Dimensions: 6" between adjacent spout centers.  The top spout is 1-1/2 inches wide, point to opposite point.  Total height is ~ 6", width is ~ 8"
